Widow And Her Pot Of Oil 1
Scripture does not tell us the names of many whose stories were told as examples of generosity, faith, and courage. It’s enough that God knows.
One such person is the widow and her pot of oil. II Kings 1:1-7. She pleaded with Elisha to help her. Her husband left her in debt. Creditors were coming to take her sons as slaves. Elisha asked her, 'what do you have in your house?'
Her answer, nothing but a small jar of olive oil. A miracle in the making that required neighbor participation. They borrowed neighbors pots, entered a room together, closed the door, and started pouring from one small jar. They saw God’s miracle.
Give what little you have to God and watch Him work.
